STAMFORD, CT — Jerkyz Restaurant and Rum Bar in Stamford is giving back to the community by giving out hot, free meals for anyone who needs one this Thanksgiving.
Jerkyz, which is located at 227 Summer St., will serve hot three-course meals including vegetable soup, choice of grilled chicken or shrimp with Mac and cheese, potato salad, rolls, cake and a bottle of juice. Meals can be picked up to-go from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at the restaurant.
“Far too many people in the Stamford area go hungry every day. With so many families still getting back on their feet after COVID hit in 2020, we’re witnessing record numbers of our neighbors who are hungry, a problem which is even more prevalent during the holiday season,” said Jerkyz owner Joab Taylor in a news release. “Hopefully a good, hot meal will make things a little easier for those who need it most.”
