Senior Menu
CATSKILL — The following is the weekly nutrition menu offered by Greene County Department of Human Services’ Senior Nutrition Program. Served daily with each meal are: Bread or alternative (roll, bun, etc.) with Promise Spread and low-fat milk. Tartar sauce is served with fish meals. Menu is subject to change based on product availability and circumstance.
The menu will be the meal that is delivered to all Greene County homebound meal clients.
All persons 60 and older can receive a meal. The suggested donation for each meal is $4. Those wishing to receive a meal are required to call the respective location at least a day in advance.
Rivertown Senior Center, 39 Second St., Athens, 945-2700.
Senior Service Centers:
Acra: Acra Community Center, Old Route 23B, Cairo 622-9898.
Jewett: Jewett Municipal Building, Route 23C, Jewett, 263-4392.
If you wish to pick-up a lunch at the Robert Antonelli Senior Center in Catskill call at least a day in advance, the Rivertown Senior Center to reserve.

WEDNESDAY: Pork chop with gravy, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, applesauce, peach cobbler.
THURSDAY: Hungarian goulash, egg noodles, spinach, tossed salad, fresh fruit.
FRIDAY: Beer battered fish, cauliflower, au gratin potatoes, fresh fruit.
MONDAY: Sloppy joes, cauliflower, corn, tropical fruit.
TUESDAY: Chicken and biscuits, broccoli, mashed potatoes, pears.
WEDNESDAY: Roast turkey dinner with gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie.
Dec. 8 through Dec. 15
WEDNESDAY: Roast turkey dinner with gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie.
THURSDAY: Fish Florentine, Italian mixed vegetables, scalloped potatoes, fresh fruit.
FRIDAY: Lasagna, green beans, carrot coins, grape yogurt parfait.
MONDAY: Beef chili, broccoli, corn bread, brown rice, tropical fruit.
TUESDAY: Chicken quarters with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, cookies.
WEDNESDAY: Shrimp primavera, penne, tomatoes and zucchini, spinach, chocolate chip pudding.
Dec. 15 through Dec. 22
WEDNESDAY: Shrimp primavera, penne, tomatoes and zucchini, spinach, chocolate chip pudding.
THURSDAY: Roast pork with gravy, applesauce, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, fruited gelatin.
FRIDAY: Baked salmon with dill sauce, California vegetable medley, white rice, fresh fruit.
MONDAY: Chicken Dijon, California medley, mashed potatoes, fruit cocktail.
TUESDAY: Veal Parmesan, spinach, stewed tomatoes, rotini, pears.
WEDNESDAY: Meatloaf with gravy, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, chocolate birthday cake.
Dec. 22 through Dec. 29
WEDNESDAY: Meatloaf with gravy, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, chocolate birthday cake.
THURSDAY: Baked ham with raisin sauce, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, cheesecake with cherry topping. Low salt diet substitute: baked chicken with gravy.
FRIDAY: Closed.
MONDAY: Macaroni and cheese, 3 bean salad, stewed tomatoes, fruit cocktail.
TUESDAY: Lemon baked cod, spinach, carrot coins, rice pilaf, peaches.
WEDNESDAY: Stuffed shells, sausage, Italian vegetables, broccoli, butterscotch pudding.

TUESDAY: Kielbasa with sauerkraut, carrots, baked beans, fruited gelatin. Low sodium: Baked chicken thigh.
WEDNESDAY: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, 3 bean salad, chocolate cake.
Jan. 5 through Jan. 12
WEDNESDAY: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, 3 bean salad, chocolate cake.

FRIDAY: Beef barley stew, broccoli, fresh fruit.
MONDAY: Chicken Dijon, mashed potatoes, Monaco vegetable mix, peaches.
TUESDAY: Ravioli, sausage, Italian green beans, lima beans, chocolate mousse.
WEDNESDAY: Meatloaf with gravy, scalloped potatoes, Sonoma vegetable mix, apple crisp.
Jan. 12 through Jan. 19
WEDNESDAY: Meatloaf with gravy, scalloped potatoes, Sonoma vegetable mix, apple crisp.
THURSDAY: Hot turkey dinner with gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, carrots, stuffing, lemon meringue pie.
